Dr Hilda Freimuth is a tenured Associate Teaching Professor in the English Language Learning and Teaching Department at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Canada. She holds a B.A. in German, a B.Ed. in primary education, an M.A. and M.Ed. in TESOL and a Ph.D. in Education. She has taught English in many parts of the world, with many years in the UAE. She has run three language learning centres – two in the UAE and one in Canada. She also managed a TESOL teacher training program in Vancouver for eight years. Hilda has published extensively in the past few years on research conducted in both the UAE and Canada and regularly travels the world to disseminate her findings.
