There are a number of websites devoted to disseminating the call for papers of the conferences or the events in different disciplines. However, at the turn of the millennium, and following the ebbs and flows in the markets, the science and business is turning to specialization which can benefit the target discourse community in different ways such as better value proposition, higher perception of authority, better networking, etc.
To this end, ELTevents.com aims to promulgate the events – conferences, workshops, seminars, webinars, workshops, … – delimited to the field of Applied Linguistics (Language Teaching, Linguistics, Translation studies, Literature,…). Eltevents.com thinks that if the event is published in a specialized website, it can become a bigger fish in a smaller pond.
