The First National Conference on Modern Technology & English Language Teaching (MTELT) aims to bring Iranian EFL scholars, researchers and teachers together to exchange and share their experiences within COVID-19 pandemic and research findings on technology-assisted language learning and teaching of English in Iran. This virtual event can provide an opportunity for all to network and present their research findings to a national and worldwide EFL/ESL professional community.
The Fifth Annual International Conference on Languages, Linguistics, Translation and Literature is organized by different universities and research centers.
The conference will be dedicated to current issues of linguistics, languages, dialects, literature and translation.
Academics and university lecturers are cordially invited to present their research regarding current issues of linguistics, languages, dialects, literature and translation in English or Arabic.
Course Introduction: Teacher Training Course (TTC) is generally an initial training course for teachers of English as a second/foreign language who have little or no experience in the profession. Its general aim is to develop language awareness and practical skills to provide novice teachers with knowledge, resources and above all confidence to stand up in front of an EFL learners.
Recent development in the field of language learning and teaching has proved that the cognitive development of young learners (YLs) is strikingly different compared to that of adults and thus makes learning and teaching quite different in YLs. On the other hand, most of the teacher training courses including CELTA, TEFL, and TESOL focus hugely on training adults. It seems vital to address the unmet needs of the pre- and in-service teachers who are working with the YLs.
Art can be a very motivating and refreshing tool for students to practice English. It makes the class fun and engages students in the tasks. The workshop includes art-related tasks to practice English: Drama, music, crafts, storytelling, ... are introduced via some practical activities (games) to the participants to enable them to effectively use them in EFL young adult and adult classrooms to make language learning a multi-sensory experience which will never be forgotten.
In the rapidly expanding world of English Language Teaching business, there is an increasing demand for not only English teachers but also supervisors for Language institutes, centers, or schools. Experienced teachers are usually the target of recruitment for such management posts. However, there is no guarantee that a fully-experienced teacher will act like a well-prepared skillful supervisor educated for the position.
Each module is a sixty-hour practical course which runs for eight weeks (one day a week) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The course includes a series of interactive input sessions on the key areas of teaching (such as ‘classroom management’ and ‘teaching skills and systems’) delivered by internationally certified trainers, plus a number of TPs (Teaching Practices) performed by the candidates on a weekly basis throughout the course.
