The 14th Norwegian Forum for English for Academic Purposes (NFEAP 2020) summer conference: “Stages”

The NFEAP conference organizing committee has come to the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 conference due to the corona virus pandemic. Even though June is still a while away, the situation is volatile, and none of us know what the future holds in terms of both public health and such logistical concerns as air travel, hotel bookings, whether our universities will be open, etc.

AsiaTEFL International Conference

The AsiaTEFL International Conference is the premier platform for English language teaching (ELT) practitioners, administrators, and researchers in Asia. At the conference, participants from Asia and all over the world convene to engage in dialogue on a wide range of topics on how to advance and impact the field of English teaching and learning. The conference offers opportunities to interact with people from all walks of ELT, learn about current trends, and contribute to this unique venue for the Asian ELT community.

The 17th Symposium on Second Language Writing

This year’s theme is “Multilingualism and Second Language Writing.” In recent years, what have been dubbed “multi/pluri” (Kubota, 2016) approaches to language and writing have proliferated in applied linguistics, composition, second language writing, and other relevant fields concerned with language and literacy. Terms such as multilingual, plurlingual, translingual, translanguaging, and polylanguaging, among others, have been used to describe learners, writers, language practices, writing processes, texts, and social contexts.

13th METU International ELT Convention

The first METU ELT Convention took place almost 20 years ago and has been growing in popularity ever since as it supports continual growth and progress among researchers and practitioners. It aims to attract teachers, students, researchers, writers and trainers involved in English Language Teaching in and outside Turkey, providing them with a professional setting to present perspectives, promoting networking and stimulating discussion.
