COVID-19 may move the conference Online.
COVID-19 has made this year very different to all others. We have all had to do special things to cope with its challenges. We are especially seeking contributions about your challenges and your move to be fully online.
With the current need to move English language classes online for synchronous and asynchronous learning, collaborative and creative projects can help sustain students’ focus and motivation while facilitating further development of English language skills. This webinar will explore how digital stories – short multimodal personal narratives – can engage English language learners in a series of collaborative assignments developed to meet language and content learning objectives.
In order to attend or present at CoNLL 2020, you must register through EMNLP 2020, selecting one of the options allowing your participation to workshops. All accepted papers must be presented at the conference in order to appear in the proceedings. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for CoNLL 2020. Accepted papers will be presented orally or as a poster (at the discretion of the program chairs based on the nature rather than the quality of the work). All papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
JALTCALL2020: TEACHING WITH TECH
As the tech space matures, CALL as a discipline is driven by the complementing spheres of those developing new teaching techniques, and those researchers looking to ensure that teaching methodologies are based on sound principles and research. The focus of this year’s conference is to promote how these two spheres can complement one another and drive the discipline forward.
Learning a foreign language and, particularly, the English language has become a need in today’s society, after the first two decades of 21st century have been finished. After more than 40 years, learning and teaching a foreign language has stopped being done within a traditional lesson, and this has been replaced, step by step, by the information and the communication technologies which are, nowadays, taking place significantly and, at the same time, the ICT are offering great challenges within the learning and teaching of foreign languages.
We invite proposals from individuals from both within and beyond our region that focus on (1) developing tech-driven language teaching and assessment and (2) technology for intercultural understanding and intercultural competence, for 30-minute presentations plus 10 minutes for questions. EDULEARN20, the 12th annual International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies will be held in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) on the 6th, 7th and 8th of July, 2020.

In the rapidly expanding world of English Language Teaching business, there is an increasing demand for not only English teachers but also supervisors for Language institutes, centers, or schools. Experienced teachers are usually the target of recruitment for such management posts. However, there is no guarantee that a fully-experienced teacher will act like a well-prepared skillful supervisor educated for the position.
