The 7th Annual Language, Linguistics, and Life Conference

The Graduate Students of Language at Temple (GSOLT) invite you to submit a proposal for our 7th annual Language, Linguistics, and Life Conference.  This student-run conference is a forum for graduate and undergraduate students to present their research in a supportive environment conducive to professional and scholarly development.  We seek proposals for 20-minute oral paper presentations from graduate students and posters from undergraduate students. This year, we also invite proposals for 50-minute interactive workshops. We welcome presentations in any language.

The 25th International Lexical-Functional Grammar Conference

The conference aims to promote interaction and collaboration among researchers interested in non-derivational approaches to grammar, where grammar is seen as the interaction of (perhaps violable) constraints from multiple levels of structuring, including those of syntactic categories, grammatical relations, semantics and discourse.

LFG20 welcomes work within the formal architecture of Lexical-Functional Grammar as well as typological, formal, and computational work within the 'spirit of LFG' as a lexicalist approach to language employing a parallel, constraint-based framework.
